James Bamford

James Bamford is the author of The Puzzle Palace, the first book about the NSA, published in 1982, as well as several other works on the agency. “I have a love-hate relationship with the NSA,” he said in 2013, “I love them, and they hate me.” He has written for the New York Times MagazineWiredRolling Stone, and other outlets. He is a columnist for Foreign Policy and writes and produces documentaries for PBS.
