James Buchan

James Buchan in the 1980s served as the Middle East correspondent for the Financial Times. A grandson of the author of The Thirty-Nine Steps and Greenmantle, Buchan published in 2004 a history of the Scottish Enlightenment, and in 2006 a biography of Adam Smith.
