E.C. Osondu

E.C. Osondu’s short story, “Waiting,” which won the Caine Prize for African Writing in 2009, was included in his first collection, Voice of America, published in 2010. Asked what he had learned about the writing life since the publication of his book, the Nigerian-born author replied, “Sourcing for blurbs/endorsements for your book is a hard and energy-sapping process, and you have to do the sourcing yourself.” Osondu is an associate professor of English at Providence College.
