Nicholas Pileggi

The inspiration for Martin Scorsese’s film Goodfellas was a book in which Nicholas Pileggi followed the exploits of Brooklyn mobster Henry Hill, who became an informant for the FBI. A former crime reporter for the Associated Press, Pileggi also cowrote the screenplay for the film Casino with Scorsese.
