Donna Tartt

Donna Tartt published The Secret History in 1992, The Little Friend in 2002, and The Goldfinch—which was awarded a Pulitzer Prize—in 2013. Enjoying her privacy while working on her novels, she remarked in a recent interview, “The odd thing about it is that it’s so long between books for me that the publishing world changes completely every time I’m out, so it’s like I’ve never done it before.” In the 1980s Tartt attended Bennington College along with Bret Easton Ellis and Jonathan Lethem.
