Entering the arena of professional tennis at the age of sixteen in 1987, Andre Agassi over the next eighteen months rose from a world ranking of ninety-one to four, beginning a career during which he went to the U.S. Open twenty consecutive times; won eight Grand Slam titles; and won the “Career Grand Slam,” winning Wimbledon, the Australian Open, the French Open, and the U.S. Open.
