Susan Orlean

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1955, Susan Orlean attended the University of Michigan in the 1970s and published her first book, Red Sox and Bluefish: Meditations of What Makes New England New England, in 1987. Her book The Orchid Thief was turned into the film Adaptation by the screenwriter Charlie Kaufman. A staff writer for The New Yorker, Orlean published the children’s book Lazy Little Loafers in 2008.
