Anne Carson

The author Anne Carson is notoriously parsimonious about details about her own life, and a profile of the poet once noted that “her back-flap biography—‘Anne Carson was born in Canada and teaches ancient Greek for a living’—is so minimalist that it sounds like a parody of a back-flap biography.” Her published work includes Autobiography of Red: A Novel in Verse and Float. She has been both a Guggenheim and MacArthur fellow and has won numerous literary prizes.
