Adrian Chen

Adrian Chen rose to prominence in 2012 for his Gawker exposé about “the biggest troll on the web,” a Reddit user known as Violentacrez who moderated numerous controversial Reddit communities, including CreepShots and Jailbait. Chen has since written for the New York Times, New York, and Wired. He later became a staff writer at The New Yorker, where he reported on social media and disinformation. In 2018 he left The New Yorker to write a book about gamers.
