Jacques Ellul

(1912 - 1994)

Born in Bordeaux, where he spent most of his life, Jacques Ellul—a philosopher, theologian, and member of the French Resistance during World War II—is best known for his works refuting the concept of technological progress. His books include The Technological Society and Propaganda.
