Oskar Morgenstern

(1902 - 1977)

Born in Germany, economist Oskar Morgenstern made Princeton, New Jersey, his home after Adolf Hitler took power while Morgenstern was visiting the university. He and mathematician John von Neumann are credited with creating the field of game theory.
