Pennsylvania House of Representatives

Two hundred and three members serve in the lower house of the Pennsylvania General Assembly, which is the largest full-time state legislature in the country. The legislative body held its first session in 1682—William Penn presided—and officially became known as the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1791.
