Gaiutra Bahadur

Gaiutra Bahadur is the author of the Orwell Prize–shortlisted Coolie Woman: The Odyssey of Indenture. During the 2016–2017 academic year, she will be a fellow at Harvard University’s W.E.B. Du Bois Research Institute, where she will be working on a biography of Janet Rosenberg Jagan, the first American woman to serve as a head of state.
