Caterina Bernardini

Caterina Bernardini is a postdoctoral research associate at the Université Paris-Est Créteil Val-de-Marne in France, a member of the research group IMAGER, and a contributing editor for the Walt Whitman Archive. She received her joint PhD in English and comparative literature from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and the University of Macerata, Italy, in 2017. She has published articles in the Walt Whitman Quarterly Review, Willa Cather Newsletter and Review, and several collections of essays. She is currently writing a book about the Italian and transnational reinvention of Walt Whitman’s poetry. As a graduate student, from 2013 to 2017, she worked an editorial assistant for the Willa Cather Archive.
