Bill Clegg

Bill Clegg was the cofounder of a successful literary agency representing writers on the order of Nicole Krauss and Anne Carson, when, in his midthirties in 2005, he went on a two-month crack binge that cost him his job, his savings, and almost his life. He described the descent in his first memoir, Portrait of an Addict as a Young Man, published in 2010; he published Ninety Days in 2012. Clegg is now a literary agent at William Morris Endeavor.
