Patrick J. McGinnis

Patrick J. McGinnis, now an author and financial adviser, published a column in the Harvard business school newspaper thought to be the first use of the acronym FOMO (“fear of missing out”) in print. He later said he had heard the word “around my ski house” at Harvard. The word entered the Oxford English Dictionary in 2013.
