Kate Millett

Kate Millett

(1934 - 2017)

Kate Millett is best known for her book Sexual Politics, a literary survey of patriarchal power in sexual relations; the book became a touchstone for second-wave feminism and made her, she later reflected, “shamefully, pointlessly rich.” Millett died at the age of eighty-two while vacationing in Paris with her wife, Sophie.
