Paulus Orosius

(c. 385 - c. 420)

The Christian historian Paulus Orosius went to Hippo in 414 to meet Saint Augustine. Two years later Augustine asked Orosius to write a historical apology of Christianity, which became Seven Books of History Against the Pagans, one of the first world histories by a Christian.
