Richard Preston

Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Richard Preston is a frequent contributor to The New Yorker and the author of books including The Hot Zone, The Demon in the Freezer, and The Cobra Event. An asteroid orbiting Mars, three miles in diameter, was named after him.
