John O. Roe

(1849 - 1915)

Born on Long Island, John O. Roe received his medical degree from the University of Michigan in 1870 and furthered his studies in Berlin and London. He was the author of numerous medical papers, including “Injuries and Deformities of the Throat” and “Operations in the Upper Air Passages,” and served for many years as president of the Medical Society of the State of New York.
