Sidney Rogerson

(1894 - 1968)

Born in Dorset, Sidney Rogerson was enrolled at the University of Cambridge when World War I broke out. He departed to join the West Yorkshire regiment. After the war he went into public relations and advised the War Office at the request of Winston Churchill. “At heart he was essentially a countryman,” his son wrote. “He hated to see the indiscriminate growth of suburbia.”
