She is the author of the Indie Next Pick The Stowaway: A Young Man’s Extraordinary Adventure to Antarctica and has written for NewYorker.com, New York, The Daily Beast, Slate, Aeon, and the Los Angeles Review of Books. She won an Independent Spirit Award for codirecting Keep the River on Your Right: A Modern Cannibal Tale and produced the Emmy-nominated Finishing Heaven.
