Kai Kaus ibn Iskandar

(c. 1020 - 1090)

Born a prince of the Ziyarid dynasty, Kai Kaus ibn Iskandar left his Caspian homeland and subsequently spent many years in exile. At the age of sixty-three he completed The Book of Qabus, a volume of advice for his favorite son.
