Georg Simmel

The author of The Problems of the Philosophy of History (1892), The Philosophy of Money (1907), and The Metropolis and Mental Life (1903), Georg Simmel is considered both an influence on the Frankfurt School and an important early scholar of the field that would come to be known as urban sociology.
