John Jeremiah Sullivan is the author of Blood Horses and, most recently, Pulphead. He is the recipient of two National Magazine Awards, a contributing writer for the New York Times Magazine, the Southern editor of The Paris Review, and a contributing editor for Harper’s Magazine.
