Marilynne Robinson

Marilynne Robinson in 1981 published her first novel, Housekeeping, and in 2004 her second novel, Gilead, which was awarded a Pulitzer Prize. In an interview with The Paris Review, she said, “Religion has been profoundly effective in enlarging human imagination and expression. It’s only very recently that you couldn’t see how the high arts are intimately connected to religion.” Her third novel, Home, was published in 2008.
