Doris Lessing

(1919 - 2013)

Doris Lessing stopped her formal education at age fourteen because she didn’t like Catholic school. The broad range of her work as a writer encompasses novels on the themes of communism and feminism as well as a five-volume science fiction series. She received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2007.
