
Francine Prose
Francine Prose, a distinguished writer in residence at Bard College, is the author of twenty-two novels, most recently The Vixen, and many works of nonfiction, including a collection of essays, What to Read and Why. A member of the Lapham’s Quarterlyeditorial board, she has guest-edited three issues: Night (Winter 2019), Epidemic (Summer 2020), and Friendship (Spring 2021). She is the editor-at-large of Lapham’s Quarterly.
